Gut

For loose stools and food that does not agree.

Gut is a digestive supplement for dogs. Live cultures to reseed the gut, inulin to feed them, slippery elm and kaolin to settle the lining, and enzymes to help the food go down.

Give it with food. Most owners see stools firm up within two to three weeks. After a course of antibiotics, double it for the first week.

Why Gut

Cultures with a dog study, not a yoghurt strain

Enterococcus faecium is the strain most of the canine evidence is on. Two billion live cells per tablet, and a count printed on the front.

Something to feed them

Live cultures on their own arrive and starve. Inulin is the fibre they eat, so Gut gives you both in the same tablet.

Quicker to judge than joints

The gut turns over fast. Two to three weeks is enough to know if it is working, and most owners know sooner.

Brighter, on real dogs

Sent in by their owners, with the tub they are on. Send us yours and we will add it.

The first thing that settled her stomach

We tried three gut products before this one. Bella has been normal for a month now. Easy to give, she thinks the tablet is a treat.

Sorted the post antibiotic mess

Loose for a fortnight after antibiotics. Doubled Gut for the first week as the tub says and it settled in days.

Laura F, GlasgowVerified15 June 2026

Worked, took a fortnight

Took about two weeks to see a real change with Nala. Now settled. Delivery was quick and the label is refreshingly clear.

Questions about Gut

If yours is not here, email hello@brighterdogs.com and a person replies, usually within the hour on weekdays.

All questions
Can I give Gut every day, long term?

Yes. Many owners run it permanently for a dog with a sensitive stomach.

My dog has just finished antibiotics.

Start Gut the day the course ends and double the dose for the first week, then drop to the normal amount.

Does it need to be kept in the fridge?

No. The cultures are stabilised for room temperature. Keep the lid on and the tub out of direct sun.

How long does a tub last?

For a 20kg dog on one tablet a day, four months. Over 25kg on two, two months.

Can I subscribe and change it later?

Yes. 15% off every delivery, free delivery, and you can skip, pause, swap tubs or cancel from your account.

Is it fine alongside Daily or Move?

Yes. Nothing in Gut doubles up with either.
